Objectives:

  • Material used as basis for workshops / student performance in the individual countries
  • To cascade information on the project within the organisations/regions
  • To collate the documentation of the processes on film, photograph and paper.
  • Dissemination of the material  with use of community languages
  •  Meet in Shanghai of partner  representatives  to

       – wrap up reporting and financial issue
       – identify sustainable elements of the project and plan further activities

MEETING SIX 20th -22ND THREE WORKING DAYS SEPTEMBER 2010  SHANGHAI

Monday 20th September

Morning

Group meeting at STA  with senior staff –    reviewing the project, considering the writing of the report, committing to future ideas, completion of  memorandum of understanding  and student exchange  scheme with the University of Leeds.

Afternoon

Group meeting at STA with artists and Professor Lu Ang.   –  reviewing the project

Evening

Meal hosted by President of STA

Tuesday 21st September

Morning  

Group meeting D. Knapp /S. Daniels /R. Li with Lu Ang, Xu Jiali  to plan presentation  at the EXPO 2010 (Austrian VIP lounge), confirm guest list etc

Afternoon

Meeting with Anne Zhong of STA international office, presentation prep and project dissemination

Evening

Oper Köln performance of “Rheingold” at Shanghai Grand Theatre

Wednesday 22nd September

Morning

OPENCOV administration with STA international office,

Afternoon/Evening

EXPO 2010   c 25 guests

Evening presentation: welcome by representative of Austrian Commission

  •  Bregenz and its engagement: D Knapp
  •  OPENCOV  :  S Daniels, R Li,  Jiali Xu, Lu Ang  with written/filmed comments from D Gray, J Townsend, T Cantell

Hosts include: the OPENCOV Chinese CAT,   STA academics, OPENCOV management representatives

Guests include:  Shanghai International Cultural Association; Shanghai Music Conservatory;   sponsors of Bregenzer Festspiele,  UoL alumni,  MA  Cultural Management students from STA,   University of Leeds office in China.
